Tyler Garner, a former University of Texas at Arlington wheelchair basketball standout and current Assistant Coach, visited Antigua to conduct a two week training seminar with the Transitions team. The players enjoyed working with him and learned a variety of terrible English phrases, like “that’s not fast enough, do it again,” and “it’s time for sprints.”

The Transitions team practiced with Tyler every evening after work to hone their skills and organize their strategy. To seek shelter from the rainy season, a local private school allowed the players to workout on their covered court. The team, who typically plays rain or shine on a rustic court near the office (featured in the video introduction) enjoyed two weeks of regulation sized hoops and puddle-free practice.

Enjoy three minutes of high caliber wheelchair basketball and catchy Beatles music.
